For the year, but that's still AWESOME!!!!
What's been happening in our lives since we became hermits?
Well!
Firstly, Phil has very nearly completed his Masters!!! In less than a week, he will have finished his exam and in mid-December to late December he will get his certificate of graduation.
Secondly, on Friday I have finished my studies for the year, and soon after that is an exhibition night where people can see the illustrated books of some of the people in my writing class - including mine! Not sure what I think of the illustrations, because I have only seen one version.
Thirdly, Phil has been promoted!!!!! Yeeeeeeeee! I knew he would be promoted :) He should have been promoted long ago, if you ask me. Anyways, he is now an APS 5 and happily installed in a new section, the name of which I have forgotten. Something and something. He is working 4 days a week still, the extra day to be used in helping out with CIF. (I'll blog on CIF a bit later)
Fourthly, with my spare holiday time I think I will be cleaning, cooking, seeing friends and being an activist. Yes, an activist! For a while I have been thinking about and looking at how the media and certain companies are sexualising women and girls. This is something that is endangering every one - men and women. It is hurting so many lives and it is not being stopped. I want to help people, I want to protect the little girls and boys who are growing up in this strange and perverted society. I have been following Melinda Tankard Reist's blog and also a blog that is founded by her, which aims to tell people of ways to take action against the sexualisation of women and children. So I am aiming to write letters, find out who I can talk to, and then talk to them.
